When I was in college I worked at a concert venue called The Dungeon. I took off work one summer to tour manage a band for 10 weeks on a cross-Canada tour, and when I returned from my trip I had freshly turned 19. The staff and owner of The Dungeon decided to throw me a big 19th Birthday Bash/Welcome Back Party and invited all of my favourite ska bands to perform. This is the poster from the party which we deemed ‘Ska Fest’ and made open to the public. Most of the bands are now broken up, but you might recognize Walk Off the Earth from their recent viral video/Youtube fame with their cover of Gotye’s “Somebody That I Used to Know”. It was one of the best birthday parties I’ve ever had. The venue is no longer in existance but I had a lot of great times there and got to work with a lot of really wonderful people.

Rearranging.

My new roommate and I rearranged our furniture this weekend, moving our dining room to where our TV used to be and our bookshelves to where the dining room once was. The change makes our apartment feel much more welcoming and comfortable. After living here for two and a half years, my home is finally starting to really feel like my home.
